1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how SIA "AK Transport" ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses and protects personal data when you use the website www.aktransport.lv and our services. We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the laws of the Republic of Latvia.

2. Data we collect
- Transport request form (shippers): company name, contact person, e-mail, phone number, loading and unloading places, loading date, cargo details and comments.
- Carrier application form: company name, registration / VAT number, country of registration, contact person, e-mail, phone number, information about your fleet, licences, directions and comments.
- Correspondence: the content of e-mails you send us.
- Technical data: when you visit the website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical information such as IP address, browser type and the time of the request, to deliver the website and protect it from abuse.
Please do not include sensitive personal data in the forms.

We do not use your data for direct marketing or newsletters, and we do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Recipients and processors
We do not sell personal data and do not share it with third parties, except when required by law or when needed to carry out your transport order (for example, a subcontracted carrier or customs broker). We use the following service providers (processors):
- Cloudflare, Inc. — website hosting and protection;
- Mailgun Technologies, Inc. — delivery of form submissions to our mailbox (EU region);
- Inbox.eu — our e-mail service.
Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. In such cases transfers are protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
5. Data retention
- Requests, applications and correspondence that did not lead to a contract: up to 3 years.
- Contract and accounting data: as long as required by Latvian law.
After this period the data is securely deleted.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access your personal data, to request its correction or deletion, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal). To exercise your rights, write to info@aktransport.lv. We will reply within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data State Inspectorate of Latvia (Datu valsts inspekcija, www.dvi.gov.lv).
7. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or loss. The website is served only over encrypted HTTPS, and access to the data is limited to authorised employees.
8. Cookies and local storage
This website does not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, so we do not ask for cookie consent.
We only use strictly necessary technologies:
